2026 RIOW RACE - INSHORE SERIES 6 - Round the Isle of Wight

Usually our most popular race of the season and well supported by our friends from the UKDHOS (UK Double Handed Offshore Series) for whom the RIOW Race is point scoring in their Series.  For solo sailors, it forms part of the SORC Inshore and Main series. 

The race has a separate entry fee of £70 solo / £100 duo, which includes a sought after RIOW shirt for each crew member.  Early entry ends 7 days before the race. 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday 6:30pm 
Weather and Strategy briefing by Ellie Driver at RORC Cowes Clubhouse (no need to book) or by Webinar.  Google Meet Link: meet.google.com/hqg-aimx-uhr .

Friday 7:30pm
2 Course Supper at RORC Clubhouse. £33 per head. 
    Chicken tikka with pilau rice, poppadums, naan, raita, and mango chutney (D)(G)
      or Vegetable tikka
 Gooey chocolate brownie, with Chantilly cream, berries and coulis (V)(G)(D)
      or White chocolate trillionaire tart (allergen friendly)

The desired meal(s) must be paid for before end of Monday 14 September.  

Saturday 6:55am
First warning signal

Saturday 6:00pm 
RIOW Prize giving in the Musto Store (with drinks and discount on goods). No need to book.

Saturday 7:30pm
Supper at Island Sailing Club. Book before the end of Monday 14 September. No charge to book, pay the ISC on the evening for what you have.

BERTHING
SORC is arranging berthing on Friday and Saturday evenings at Shepards Marina.  If you would like to reserve a berth, contact David Bright at David@quopiam.co.uk or 07802 83 99 84 as soon as possible.
