CHANNEL ISLANDS & CHERBOURG
Event Date: 26 Aug 2022 - 4 days
Description:
Offshore Series Races 5, 6 & 7 over a 3 day weekend
This long weekend of three races will now take us to France - St Vaast and / or Cherbourg , and back to the Solent.
This Offshore Racing weekend is a SORC favourite for tidal strategy with the challenge of starting with an overnight race via the east of the Isle of Wight.
Being the final trio of 2022 Offshore races they will decide the season’s podium places.
In the SIs you will see we have options for flexibility, the first being overnight to St Vaast , a day race on Sunday to Cherbourg before racing home on Monday. The alternative options could be used if the weather dictates.
Please note the earlier start time from Cowes.
You will need to complete the French customs PAF forms and submit by email, as well as the UK border force ‘paperwork’ which has a new portal
The St Vaast lock gates opening and closing times (in French local time) can be found here
