Small ads - explained

 

1 – Choose a Title, mandatory, this will be displayed in all the listings of your ad.

 

2- Chose a category, mandatory, use the drop down to select whether your item is For Sale or Wanted… after your selection a second drop down will appear allowing you to refine the selection for example to “Boats” or “Electronics”. If you cant find a category to suit your ad, select “Add new Category” and specify what this should be, for example “Sails”

 

3 – Add pictures, optional, browse files on your computer and upload, up to three pictures allowed.

 

4 - Add file attachments, optional, browse files on your computer and upload them, these will be listed below your add, for example excel files with inventories or pdf documents.

 

5 – Write your ad, write up to 500 words to go with your small ad. It is not recommended that you write email addresses or phone numbers, but that’s up to you. Interested parties will always be able to email you directly through a link that hides your address.

 

6 – Type your name, this will be both the name displayed for the ad as well as your Username on the website.  If you don’t have a Username already, simply type a new name of your liking.

 

7 – Give your personal details, if you don’t already hold an account with the website, the form will expand and you will additionally be asked for your email address and choice of password. Your email will be kept private but is needed to allow other users to send you messages.

 

Once you press Register you will be registered automatically and signed in straight away, you don’t need to wait for any email from us (we’ll send you your login details for your future reference).

 

8 – Place your ad. Click the Save button, or optionally preview the ad before saving.
