Coastal Series
Brand new for 2010. The race to Poole and back in May is designed to encourage new participants to Solo sailing and help them build towards participating in Channel week later in the season. We plan to have a safety rib in attendance for the entire race.
In July a longer set of races to Weymouth and back is planned, we may look to have the race from Lymington to Weymouth sailed on Friday night and this will then act as the official qualifier for Channel week.
The Coastal series will be decided on the best three of four races. In the event that three or fewer races are sailed there will be no discard. Overall Series results for the combined races in the Solent Solo Series and the Coastal Series will be calculated with a maximum of two discards. In the event that six or fewer races are sailed there will be no discard.
